The Lawson Lab
The Lawson Lab, headed by principal investigator Dr. Elizabeth A. Lawson, conducts research on the oxytocin system and eating disorder neurobiology.
Harvard Interdisciplinary Oxytocin Research Initiative
Dr. Lawson is the founding director of the Harvard Interdisciplinary Oxytocin Research Initiative, an international cross-disciplinary research initiative that includes top researchers in the field and meets monthly to share novel findings and advance oxytocin research.
Multidisciplinary Eating Disorder Research Collaborative
Dr. Lawson is a founding PI (along with Drs. Kamryn Eddy, Laura Holsen, Madhu Misra and Jennifer Thomas) of the Mass General Brigham Multidisciplinary Eating Disorders Research Collaborative investigating the neurobiological underpinnings of eating disorders. Their work has led to a deeper understanding of abnormalities in endocrine and neural signaling that may contribute to aberrant eating behaviors and medical and psychological sequelae, and identification of novel endocrine and neural targets for intervention.
